10/26/09 Lovely Kate

This is one of those pictures I’ve subconsciously ignored because it never felt like a successful shot. Some things change with time, and this is one of those things. As of late, this photo has taken on a new shape to me. It’s been redefined by how my relationship with the woman has essentially unraveled. What was an awkward goodbye snap, is now a marker in my life, a literal fork in the road. I don’t like to look at the picture to be honest, it’s sad. Perhaps sharing it can help me better accept what is. So here you go – I give it to you, stranger.
